Autism-Friendly Learning

Each session teaches your child a new social skill in easy steps.

They practice these skills through engaging activities and games. We also work with you and their teachers to apply these skills in real-life settings."

Case Study - Harper

Harper feels happier - 13 years old.

She did the Secret Agent Society program because at home, she experienced loud meltdowns lasting about 2 hours, a few times a week. It was causing significant strain on her own confidence, and her family’s ability to cope. The program showed her skills for handling emotions before reaching that “tipping point” for it all becomes overwhelming.

She learned helpful strategies in the Secret Agent Society program. For instance, when she

feels overwhelmed, she now turns to her dog and trampoline as initial strategies, and where all becomes too much for her, she escapes to her bedroom with her headphones.

Now when she experiences a few overwhelmed-induced meltdowns, they generally last about 40 minutes, rather than 2 hours like they used to. She now channels less energy into meltdowns, allowing her to embrace life more fully and leaving her with more energy to enjoy others.

Peace-Of-Mind Promise: What if my child needs to pull out?

You have the flexibility to:

✅ Discontinue their current course if it's not helping and stop paying for future sessions.

✅ Switch to a different course if you need to.

✅ Do ‘catch-up’ sessions if your young person can't get to their usual one.

You won't be billed for an entire course if your young person can't make it through.

You're only charged for the sessions your young person actually attends if you need to withdraw them from the course. Most of the time, our young participants really get into the swing of things and experience life-impacting learning.

If your young person needs some adjustments, we can move them to another small group, change up the session schedule, or even match them with a new group leader.

We get that life can throw curveballs—family losses, sudden health challenges, or parental difficulties, to name a few.

Experience Friendship Skills With Support

Additional value - Games to practise:

Imagine how much fun it is to build social skills missions as a character in our 'secret agent' game.

See a demo here:

Learning Friendship Skills Is Fun

The course stands out for its secret agent theme, which turns your child into a social detective.

They learn to pick up cues from people's speech and body language to understand feelings and intentions.

For instance, they'll tune into voice volume, speed, and pitch to gauge emotions."

Helping Autistic Kids Grow Their Skills

We use a range of Autism-friendly strategies to make it straight-forward for Autistic kids to develop their social skills, conversational skills and teamwork skills. Here’s how we help young people grow their skills in an Autism-friendly way:

  • Make routines, rules and social norms clear and specific so our kids don’t have to guess what is expected.
  • Break each new social skill down into straight-forward, achievable steps, demonstrate the steps and then create a safe space for learners to practise using those steps.
  • Come up with opportunities for kids to use their new skills within the group or at home with a parent/supporter.
  • Explain the reasons why these steps work and why the social skill is worth learning and using.
  • Using encouragement, humour and sense of team spirit to make learning fun and to build peripheral social skills at the same time.
